Owner Spotlight: Elaine & David Taylor
We are Elaine & David Taylor, proud owners of Blind Guyz, window blinds and much more.
We look forward to sharing our story. We hope that you will enjoy getting to know us better.
The most enjoyable part of our work is the challenge to deliver more than expected, and the look on our customer's faces when we're done! We love the feeling when our customers tell us that they finally feel, "at home" when we’re completing a job. It gives us such a feeling of satisfaction to make people feel more relaxed and comfortable in their own homes. We provide customers with the privacy they need, but we also help make their windows a beautiful focal point of their home.
We were both raised in south Georgia and met in Macon, while Elaine was attending college, and have been together for 33 years!
We have been in the window treatment business for 18 years. We started our own company in 2001 and quickly realised that there were no other services in South Atlanta offering world class window treatments with full installation. This led us to incorporate, The Blind Guyz LLC, in 2006. We worked hard until, finally, we had it all - the best products in the industry matched with a full installation service to our customers!
We constantly strive to make sure that our salespeople have the best products and materials in our industry. We make sure that we find the right people that care as much as we do about our customers so we can properly guide them to achieve their vision for their windows while staying inside their budget.
We work hard to properly train (and maintain) the best installation service team in the business! We believe we have created the type of environment that ensures our team will provide courteous and caring service, and will treat your home as we would treat our home.
We are never satisfied! We are always looking for ways to improve and expand the top quality products we offer.
There is no such thing as a typical day and we work between 10-12 hours/day. We also work on Saturdays for our customers’ convenience.
The three most important skills that we use every day are our work ethic, our ability to perceive what our customers want, and most importantly, our ability to deliver what our customers want!
When we’re not working, we love spending time with each other and our grandchildren!
Our biggest accomplishment is that we are still in love after 33 years!
The people in our lives who most inspire us are each other, our parents, and our athletic coaches. We are lucky to have had so many wonderful, caring leaders in our lives. The leaders that most inspire us outside of our families are Roger Staubach and Dr. Martin Luther King. The company that we admire most is, Frank Winfield "Woolworth's". He loved people and wanted to do something never done before-- serve his customers.
There are opportunities every day to give compassionate service to others. We believe in serving someone every day, even if it's not someone you love. We believe in doing what's right, even when no one is looking.
We have enjoyed sharing our story about the things which matter to us and how they influence the way we do business.
If you, or someone you know could benefit from our expertise in blinds and window treatments, we invite you to get in touch.
